Parking: Parking is free and available in the back lot behind the Interpretive Center and Wildlife Care Center. Overflow parking is available in the front lot. Carpooling is encouraged.
Activity: Our planned restoration activity is dependent upon site needs and the tides, but may include any of the following: trash pickup, invasive or introduced plant species removal, transplanting native salt marsh species in the wetlands or nursery, native plant seed collection, and/or sowing. We may also help build their Living Shoreline to mitigate erosion, where we often need help sorting sand and cobble, installing coconut coir fiber logs, and planting native salt marsh species.
Bring/Wear: Wear layers to prepare for various weather, a hat/sunscreen, sunglasses, a refillable water bottle, snacks, and work gloves (if you have some). All participants should dress appropriately; we recommend long pants, sleeves, and closed-toe shoes. You WILL get dirty.
Provided: Tools, gloves, trash bags, and a water refill station will be provided. Waiver: All volunteers must sign our joint waiver before participating.
Participants under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian sign on their behalf.
